For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord , ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 AMP
I sat with this verse one day, and I meditated on it for a long time. God wants me to do well. It is the devil that is against people succeeding. God wants me to do very well. God has thoughts towards me. He didn’t just create me to abandon me on this planet. Every day He looks at me, and he says, “I know the plans I have for you. I know their intricacies. I hold all the information about my plans for you. These plans are in my memory. I could never forget them. I am committed to making them happen.”
Part of His plan was our salvation. Oh! How God loves us. He had every great thing planned out for us. But He knew that until He delivers us from the captivity of the devil, there is no way we could come into ownership of all He has prepared for us. So He sent Jesus.
It is not uncommon to see someone give their life to Christ and their entire world is transformed. All things become new. The Holy Spirit becomes their Friend and Teacher. The joy of the Holy Ghost becomes their strength. They have fellowship with the Father and they become better for it.
When you got saved, you stepped into God’s ultimate plan for you. Salvation revealed His other good plans. His purpose for your life, finances, ministry, business, career, relationships, marriage, education and whatever you may think of, are completely laid open before you as you continue to grow in intimacy and fellowship with God. And the Holy Spirit is always there to empower you to do the things God has planned for you.
You begin to see why you’re here. As you move in obedience to God’s leading and direction, you begin to find fulfilment in Him. You begin to understand that God always had good plans for you, He only waited for you to step into His plans. Your whole purpose begin to unfold in the most amazing way.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
